The Bagshot Infant School Sure Start Children’s Centre is run by Caroline Atkins.
Sure Start Children’s Centres are at the heart of the Government’s Every Child Matters agenda. One of the Government’s aims is that Children’s Centres will have a central role in improving outcomes for all young children. They will help to reshape, enhance, add value and increase co-ordination of services to families,the services and support you can receive at each Centre vary from area to area but at the Bagshot Centre we can provide:
• Support for parents – including advice on parenting, local childcare options and access to specialist services for families.
• Child and family health services – ranging from midwife and health visitor services to breast-feeding support.
This includes ante-natal and post-natal classes and a baby weighing clinic.
• Helping parents into work – with links to the local Jobcentre Plus and training.
The Children’s Centre is here for you and your family; so please come along and use it.
